Simon Hudspeth has been one of Europe’s leading hotel investment and development advisers for the past 15 years. He served for 10 years as a Director at two of the sector’s leading firms, and he has conducted, managed and directed thousands of hotel consultancy, valuation, and advisory assignments throughout the UK, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Asia and Australasia. His extensive operational experience includes 13 hotel openings on four separate continents with Hyatt International. In January 2009 Simon established his own consulting company - Hotel Investment & Asset Management - which offers independent advisory services to hotel owners, investors, developers, funders and administrators on a retained or project-specific basis. Such advice is focused on investment strategy, financial appraisal, and value creation. Simon is well-known for his integrity and attention to detail, and for the high quality of work conducted by him and by consultants and valuers under his supervision. He is a frequent speaker and writer, and a respected commentator on hotel investment trends and events. As an adviser he has been involved in many of the most significant European hotel investment deals of the past 15 years and he has worked in all major European and UK hotel markets.
