Dr. Rania Haddad Chamelian
Prior to joining the School of Business at the Lebanese American University in 2010 as an Assistant Professor, Rania Haddad Chamelian worked as a lecturer in several universities in Europe and especially in the UK, where she led hospitality and marketing modules at the graduate and undergraduate level. She holds a PhD in Management from the University of Surrey - UK, a MBA in International Hospitality Management from IMHI (ESSEC-Cornell) - France, and a BA from Les Roches Hotel Management - Switzerland. She has worked for several hospitality companies including Four Seasons, Kempinski, Westin of Starwood, and InterContinental Hotels, in both marketing and revenue management roles. Her research interest is in the practice of revenue management in the hospitality industry, focusing particularly on the impact of this practice on customers.
Prof. J.S. Perry Hobson
Dr Perry Hobson is the Pro Vice-Chancellor for the Division of Hospitality, Tourism, and Culinary Arts at Taylor’s University (Malaysia), the Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Vacation Marketing and a member of the Board of Directors of the International Centre of Excellence in Tourism & Hospitality Education (THE-ICE). After working in the hospitality industry in the UK, Perry has held full-time academic positions with Southern Illinois University (USA), the Hong Kong Polytechnic University (SAR-China) and Southern Cross University (Australia) - where he was also the Head of School from 2000-05. He was then invited to take on the role as Director of the International Centre of Excellence in Tourism and Hospitality Education (THE-ICE), which he made into a leading global not-for-profit accreditation organization.
Dr. Tatiya Jarumaneerat
Prof. Peter A. Jones
Prof. Peter A. Jones shares the same name as hep's founder, but has a very different background. He is a Director of Wentworth Jones Ltd, an international hospitality management company. He has enjoyed a varied professional career in a range of Army, industry and higher education appointments. Serving in the Army Catering Corps he retired as Commander of the Army Catering Service in BAOR. His academic career has included Head of Schools in Bournemouth and Thames Valley University’s and as CEO/Principal of the Blue Mountains Hotel Schools in Australia. He is a published academic and has edited a number of academic and professional journals. He has chaired and been a member of professional and government bodies in both the UK and Australia and is currently Chair of the Qualifications Review Panel of the Institute of Hospitality, a Director of HOSPA, The Hospitality Professionals Association, Visiting Professor at the University of Derby and Academic Advisor to the Imperial Institute of Higher Education in Sri Lanka. He was the Project Director for the Edge Hotel School from its inception. In 2007, he was made MBE in the Queens Birthday Honours List for his contribution to the hospitality industry.
